Welcome to the Green Mountain Dog Club web site. We hope you find it helpful and useful with information on dog-related topics, classes and events in the Central Vermont region. Be sure to "like" us on facebook and keep up with day to day doggie activities. Show handling classes will start on February 5 and run for 6 weeks. Check out the Classes page for all the details.
Save Sunday March 24 for the GMDC AKC Sanctioned breed and obedience match at the Waterbury Armory. All the details and the entry form are on the Special Events Page (click on "more"). Pictures from last year's match are in the Photo Gallery.
Our members compete in many activities from AKC dog shows, obedience trials, earth dog trials, agility trials, and draft trials to "meet the breeds" and other programs to encourage responsible dog ownership. We sponsor or participate in micro-chip clinics, eye clinics, heart clinics and the Canine Good Citizen Program. We also offer an annual scholarship to young students pursuing a career in animal science. Most important, we get together to share our enjoyment of our dogs!
